Greg Jaworek - technology leadership mentor

I'll accelerate your career.
Through mentoring.

I help people steer their careers on purpose - early-career specialists, first-time team leaders, and founders. I walked the road from engineer to CTO and founder myself, scaling teams from 10 to 100+ people across three continents. What I teach 1:1, I scale in careerpath.pl, so it works for thousands.

1:1 mentoring where you grow on specifics

The main format is four months of care: work on your career with someone who has walked the road, from engineer to CTO and VP of Engineering - in one of three meeting rhythms, with a separate decision to continue after each cycle. Prefer a smaller step? There's a single session. Need a different scope? There's an individual program.

Single session

One session, one topic, a clear outcome - an interview next week, an offer to decide on, a CV review. A good way to see how I work.

€500. If you join the care within 30 days, I deduct the session cost from the price.

See the details

Individual program

When the standard package doesn't fit: a longer horizon, company-funded care for a leader with a report for the sponsor, several people from one organisation, or another scope. Designed around the situation, not the price list.

Individual quote, after the free diagnosis.

I didn't read about the path to CTO. I walked it.

  1. Software Engineer
  2. Engineering Manager
  3. Director
  4. VP of Engineering
  5. CTO

I climbed every one of these rungs myself. In a corporation, in a scale-up and as a founder. That's why I know where the difference is really made, especially early on.

  1. 2005

    Software Engineer - Comarch

The beginning. Billing systems for telecoms (T-Mobile). This is where I learned the craft.

  2. 2008

    Founder - Anat Systems

My own company: software, AI, Agile transformations and team building. Still going today.

  3. 2013

Software Engineer → Engineering Manager - ABB

First steps in leadership. Product Owner, Scrum Master, building an Agile culture.

  4. 2016

Engineering Manager → Senior EM - HSBC

  5. 2018

Director of Engineering, Head of Poland Hub - Capsilon / Ellie Mae / ICE

Scaling 15 → 100 people, "Instant Underwriter" in 14 months, 10x value growth → acquisition.

What people I've worked with say

Originals from LinkedIn, exactly as they wrote them.

"Greg has a rare ability to lead with both clarity and humanity. He builds high-performing teams not through pressure or hierarchy, but by fostering an environment of deep trust, psychological safety, and genuine empowerment. (...) He doesn't just manage people, he invests in them."
Ivan Markeev
"Let me save you the trouble - just hire Grzesiek. This guy doesn't just boost team morale; he turns 'meh' teams into rockstars. He's the secret ingredient your team is missing - like that espresso you had two years ago. If you want your team to shine, reach out to Grzesiek. I promise, you won't regret it."
Lukasz Wedel
"Greg is one of the best senior director level leaders I've been working with. (...) If you're looking for your next director of engineering, site lead, VP of engineering or even CTO, you should do your best to convince Greg to join your organization. He is the top talent money can buy."
Henryk Konsek
"He is an expert in building large IT teams from scratch in Kraków. His experience in setting up and scaling operations, particularly for U.S. companies looking to establish offshore capabilities, is truly invaluable."

A leader doesn't have to control everything

The best teams don't need a hero at the top. They need a leader who creates the conditions, trusts, and gets out of the way. After 20 years of building organizations I know one thing: to speed up, you first have to slow down.

Slow down to speed up

A mentor once told me: "if you're controlling everything, you're going too slow." The leaders I work with stop being the bottleneck of their own team.

Goal over rules

Rules should serve the goal, not the other way around. I teach decision-making under uncertainty instead of hiding behind process.

Neurodiversity is an advantage

I have ADHD and treat it as part of who I am. I build leadership that works for brains that work differently too - that's the Neuro+ initiative.

I write about it regularly in my newsletter Leader Pace - essays on leadership, running and burnout.

Numbers, not promises

Grzegorz (Greg) Jaworek

Hi, I'm Greg

My name is Grzegorz (Greg) Jaworek. An engineer who became a leader - and never stopped being an engineer. I started at Comarch in 2005, went through ABB, HSBC, Cisco and PairSoft, all the way to VP of Engineering and CTO. Along the way I founded Anat Systems and scaled teams from a handful to a hundred several times.

I live in Kraków. I run every day - eight years without missing one, and marathons are my game. I have ADHD and treat it as part of who I am, not a defect to hide. I studied Automation and Robotics at AGH. I like to joke and I close distance quickly - but I take the work dead seriously.

Most of my energy right now goes into Igors - a platform of digital AI co-workers for companies. On the same engine we're building careerpath.pl, so honest career advice isn't a luxury.

My favorite moment is when someone I work with stops asking "can I do this" and starts asking "what's next".

Find me here:

Marathons are my game

I run every day and have for eight years - the streak is past 3,000 days, at around 3,000 kilometers a year. It's not a hobby on the side; it's training for exactly what leadership demands: a pace you can't fake, patience, and resilience built in kilometers, not declarations.

The marathon is my distance. Long enough that strategy beats bravado. That's where my newsletter's name comes from - Leader Pace. The leader's pace.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the mentoring for?

For early-career specialists, first-time team leaders, and founders who want to map a clear path into technical leadership. The common thread: you want to steer your career on purpose instead of reacting to whatever the year brings.

How is mentoring different from coaching?

A coach works with questions and usually stays out of the substance of your field. I go in. I hired for these roles and decided on promotions, so I tell you plainly what the person making the decision sees and what I would do in your place. The decision stays yours, but I won't pretend I have no opinion.

What does it cost?

There are three formats. A single session: €500. Four-month mentoring care in three variants that differ only in the rhythm of meetings: Light (roughly every four weeks) €2,100, Standard (roughly every three weeks) €2,400, Intensive (roughly every two weeks) €3,100. An individual program: individual quote after the free diagnosis. Prices net of VAT. Full pricing is on the offer page.

What is ongoing mentoring care?

The main mentoring format: four months of care in one of three meeting rhythms. We start with an opening session with a starting map and a plan, then regular 75-minute meetings, contact in between, preparation for key conversations, a strengths assessment with a debrief and a review at the end. Beyond the care there are single sessions and an individual program priced after the diagnosis.

Why four months of care instead of a few sessions?

Because a career moves in months, not in hours. A single session settles one topic: an interview, an offer, a CV review. Changing your path needs a plan, work between sessions and reviews for when the market or your situation shifts. If you want to test how I work first, take one session. I just won't promise that one session does four months' work.

What if my situation changes along the way?

The rhythm can change along the way: when things heat up you move to a denser one, when they settle you move to a lighter one. And if after the first two meetings you decide this isn't working, you walk away without explaining yourself: I keep only the first month and refund the rest in full. No automatic renewal: after four months you decide again. Details are on the offer page.

How do I know it will work for me?

No website can tell you that. So we start with a free 30-minute call: I name what I see in your situation and tell you whether I can help. If I can't, I say so plainly instead of selling you an engagement. You leave that call with something concrete even if you decide against it.

How much time does it take?

A meeting within the care lasts 75 minutes. Between meetings there are assignments, usually two to four hours a month, sized to the time you actually have. There is no program to tick off, so you won't get homework for the sake of homework.

Will you find me a job?

No. I'm not a recruiter or an agency and I have no openings in my pocket. I teach you to read the market, run the conversation and negotiate, so you choose better on your own. That lasts longer than one referral.

Do I have to work in tech?

I'm strongest where I worked myself: engineering, technology, product and leadership roles in technology companies. Outside that I say plainly what I don't know. If your field is far from mine, you'll hear it at the diagnosis rather than have me guess.

Is what we talk about confidential?

Yes. I don't discuss you with your employer, with recruiters or with other mentees. Plenty of people come while employed and that's normal.

How do sessions run, and in what language?

Remotely, over video. In English or Polish, whichever suits you. After every session you get a written summary with concrete steps, so you don't have to take notes while we talk.

Platform foundation

A platform of digital AI co-workers

Not another tool. Igors is a team of named AI assistants - each with a first name, a surname and a role (Chief of Staff, Project Manager, COO).

You hire an Igor for a whole role, not a single task. The company wins back time, cuts cost and grows without new headcount.

Skrawek - the Igors mascot

A whole role, not a task

One Igor, one role. It works while you sleep and when you sit side by side - and learns your company every month.

Effect in ~2 weeks

Start with one Igor where it hurts most. A visible effect right away, then the whole team grows.

A real AI team

Igors have names and defined roles. You lead them like people on a team, not like another app to click through.

Digital staff for accounting firms

Built on the same digital-employee engine that runs Igors. The pilot programme is running, with a second wave of firms starting autumn 2026.

Let's talk about timing

Got a project, a question, or want to check availability? Drop me a line - I usually reply within 24 hours.
